OUR PROJECTS | LINDEN BARN FARM
Found in the rural village of Coxheath, this newly built farmhouse is anything but ordinary. For the owners of Linden Barn Farm, the kitchen was the most important room of their new home - a place where functionality needed to meet timeless design and family-focused living.
The Gardiner of England team was brought on to design, manufacture, and install a completely bespoke kitchen and utility space that would feel just as beautiful in 10 years as it does today.

THE BRIEF | CLASSIC CHARACTER WITH A MODERN EDGE
With a generous footprint, the homeowners wanted to embrace bold contrasts while keeping the space grounded and traditional.
They were inspired by a previous Gardiner kitchen - one designed for their daughter - and were looking for a similar balance of character, quality and practicality.
Together with their dedicated Gardiner Designer, Abigail Leek, the couple explored cabinetry colours, layout options and material pairings that would deliver both everyday functionality and wow-factor.
The result is a space that reflects their style and supports their lifestyle — from hosting the grandkids to slow Sunday mornings.
DESIGN DETAILS
The kitchen cabinetry is built using our Bethersden 5-piece Shaker — a classic, framed style that nods to British heritage kitchens but can be styled in a range of ways.
The cabinetry is painted in two tones: a deep Carbon for the island and Porcelain for the tall units and wall cabinetry. This soft contrast gives the space dimension without overpowering the open-plan layout. Calacatta Classico quartz worktops, from Bloom Stones London, take centre stage on the expansive island - finished with a matching end panel or waterfall edging for an extra touch of luxury. The warm tones and subtle veining soften the darker cabinetry and give a sense of flow across different areas.
Integrated Haier and BOSCH appliances throughout add to the practicality of the space, while also providing a premium cooking experience, every single day. The perfect combination of performance and style.
A FULLY BESPOKE, HIDDEN COFFEE STATION
One of the standout features of this kitchen is the integrated coffee station, designed to elevate the everyday and offer an organised, streamlined start to the morning.
Crafted with the same Bethersden cabinetry in Porcelain and finished internally with beautifully detailed dovetail drawers, this hidden coffee zone provides a dedicated space for brewing — keeping worktops clear and routines efficient.

The Calacatta Classico quartz worktop runs through the interior, offering a luxurious, consistent finish and a hard-wearing surface that can handle daily use with ease. Thoughtful lighting and shelving complete the setup, blending function with understated style.
It’s a small space with a big impact - and one of the homeowners’ favourite features.
A SEAMLESS UTILITY ROOM
Beyond the kitchen, we also designed and installed the utility room — often one of the most overlooked but essential parts of a home.
Using the same cabinetry style and finish, the utility space is fully integrated into the overall scheme. It includes clever storage, durable surfaces and a considered layout to manage laundry and cleaning tasks without disrupting the calm of the main kitchen.
This continuity of materials and detailing reinforces the design quality of the entire home.
