Celebrating our Made in Britain approval: A testament to craftsmanship, care and commitment

At Gardiner of England, we believe a kitchen is far more than a place to cook. It’s the heartbeat of the home -  a space where meals are shared, conversations unfold, and memories are made. This is why we’re proud to announce that we are officially Made in Britain approved — a recognition that reinforces our unwavering dedication to British manufacture, sustainable practice, and timeless craftsmanship.

This certification marks a significant milestone in our journey, but more importantly, it offers our customers a renewed assurance. When you choose Gardiner of England, you’re investing in quality you can feel, heritage you can trust, and design made just for you.

Designed in Kent, crafted for life

Our journey begins in Headcorn, Kent, where every Gardiner of England kitchen is thoughtfully designed by our in-house team. Nestled within the idyllic setting of Great Tong Farm, our showroom is more than a place to browse cabinetry. It’s where inspiration meets expertise.

With over 30 years of collective experience, our Designers bring a deep understanding of how to create kitchens that not only look beautiful but serve the real, everyday needs of modern family life. Whether it’s a busy breakfast with little ones or a quiet evening of entertaining, our kitchens are crafted for every home.

What sets us apart is our deliberately personal approach. Our Designers take on a limited number of projects each year, ensuring that every homeowner receives the time, focus, and thoughtful creativity their project deserves. It’s a principle we’ve upheld from the start, and one that’s been made even more possible by our deep roots in British manufacture.

Built in Britain, backed by craftsmanship

Unlike many kitchen brands that outsource their production abroad, all Gardiner of England kitchens are manufactured in the UK, with cabinetry and joinery built at our dedicated Production Facility. From frontals to internal storage solutions, paint finishes to worksurfaces, our products are made under one roof. This gives us full control over the quality, lead times, and final finish of every kitchen.

Having a close relationship between our Design and Production teams means we can offer a level of service that few others can match. Adjustments, enhancements, or special requests can be turned around with agility and precision. More than that, we can offer bespoke solutions that truly fit the needs of the homeowner - from custom pantry configurations and handless cabinetry to curved corners that soften the space.

And when it’s time for your kitchen to arrive, our in-house delivery team ensures that it arrives in perfect condition. By controlling logistics internally, we not only protect your investment but reduce our reliance on external shipping networks - another way we help lower our carbon footprint.

A sustainable future, built responsibly

As a modern British brand, we’re deeply aware of the responsibility we hold in creating not just beautiful kitchens, but more sustainable ones too.

At our Finishing Facility, we use water-based paints, reducing harmful VOC emissions and contributing to better indoor air quality in your home. These paints perform better environmentally and deliver a flexible, durable finish that’s less likely to crack or degrade with humidity changes, scoring highly in independent FIRA testing.

Our production facility also plays host to a state-of-the-art sanding system and de-dusting line, allowing us to further improve application precision and product consistency. This technology results in a finish that’s both superior in quality and environmentally conscious.

Even our work surfaces reflect our values. Sourced from leading European manufacturers, our partners recycle and reuse all water during production, and we’re proud to offer the world’s first Zero Carbon quartz surfaces as part of our collection.

With every improvement, we strive to make our kitchens not just better for our clients but better for the planet.

What the Made in Britain mark means for you

The Made in Britain mark isn’t just a label. It’s a symbol of transparency, trust, and authenticity. It guarantees that our products are genuinely made here in the UK, adhering to stringent quality and manufacturing standards.

For our customers, this means:

  • Shorter lead times and faster turnaround

  • Stronger quality assurance through every stage of manufacture

  • Local accountability and traceability

  • Reduced transport emissions and a lower carbon footprint

  • A chance to support local jobs and British industry

It also reflects a design and build process that is more collaborative, controlled, and client-focused, from start to finish.
